Calling all Breastfeeding Mom’s!!!!

Hey ladies, I need a few models for a little bit of a project. August is breast feeding awareness month at the Putnam County Health Department. You can join them on facebook at PC Health Department .   I am offering a free 20 minute session to capture that special bound between mother and child for a display at the health department.  This is a model session. You will be displayed in a very tasteful–nurturing way.  And I might share a few of your thoughts about your experience on the blog.  This will last for month of august only. Only daytime appointments. If you are interested call the studio at 660.342.3237.

I have been breastfeeding Rory since her birth and I couldn’t be more pleased with it. It is the best gift I think I could ever give her and I cherish that special time with her.  Although I am pretty new to motherhood it is one step I am so glad I decieded to take.  I think the major set back for me was that I didn’t know many people who had breastfeed.  None of the women in my family had and I only had a handful of friends that even tried.   It didn’t seems natural to a me no matter how natural it actually was.  I was a very intemidated by the whole idea before Rory was born, but after reading the all of the health benefits I had to make myself give my very best effort.  Luckily, I was pointed in the right direction by a couple of friends to resources that made my experience wonderful.   Now that I have experienced that special bond I wish more than anything that I could document it. There is nothing in this world sweeter than my baby in my arms holding my hand and looking up into my eyes.  If you haven’t breastfeed I’m sure this seems crazy, but if you have I’m sure you know exactly what I am talking about.  Take this opporutnity to keep that moment for you!

Lulu Collection – Belly Session

Baby Brady is almost here and I couldn’t be more excited! I know him and Ror will make years of trouble for us parents to giggle at.

Love this image of the little family… Garrett made the joke we could show Brady what his parents did before they had him. Just sit in the middle of field and wait. They look pretty darn good at it if you ask me!

Kinnison & Rhiannon E-Session

A while back these local North Missourians took a visit back to their roots for a little E-Session. I love so much when I get local couples back to the area. It is so funny when we talk we all cherish the same things about growing up in a small town. Little did we know prior to the session, but between the future McKay’s and Ian and I we had all been on the same court or field at some point and time. It was so great to meet them. Not only are they the picture perfect couple they are as sweet as they come. So excited about their upcoming wedding!

E-Session

So way back when before baby Rory made her arrival Aaron and Sarah drove all the way from KC to visit the studio. And they brought their precious little baby. These are a few of my favs…

Quint Family Session

So a couple weeks ago Ian and I got the pleasure of hanging out with the Quint Family. Between pulling Ian out of their pictures, ants, ticks, and laughing so hard I almost peed my pants we were able to get some great images. (note to self… no more sessions with them while 8 months pregnant) I have known Byran, Shelby and Cody from way back. I would say I was actually Cody’s first babysitter, but it was so great getting to know Cater and Carson as well. Together this family could never have a dull moment! I am still giggling at these adorably ornery little men. Thanks so much Qunit’s! Ian and I look forward to watching many games with Quint being screamed over the PA system.

I could not be more in love with an image right now… This is just sooo precious.  Looking back on how fast time flew when my siblings and I were all in the house together it makes me miss those simple days.  When beating up on my little brother, who is now in the AirForce and could easily clobber me, was my nightly entertainment.  As crazy as it was I know we all miss it and so will they.

Jake & Kim

Love love loved our session with these two! It was just like hanging out with great friends. We had a blast. It doesn’t get much better than a couple cuddling up in a field with my all time favorite tree in the background. Thanks so much Jake and Kim! Can’t wait for you wedding!

Lulu Collection 2 weeks

I don’t know that I could have one of my Lulu babies in my hands (and in front of my camera) soon enough. This little guy was just over two weeks and was perfect. Even though he was aiming for me I still steal a couple images of his gorgeous little self. And yes by aiming I mean… Oh little boys!

Is he not just the most handsome thing you have seen.

I just love the simplicity of the lulu collection, especially the first few sessions.  They are all about documenting not only the first couple month of life, but also those precious little bonds that Mommy and Daddy have with their baby.  I don’t think it could get anymore simple and beautiful. Just Mom and Dad with a nakey baby.

Look at this little sweetie pie. This smile lights up anybody’s world.  As Ian and I prep for the arrival of our new little sweet pie I can’t help but dream that she will have all this dark hair too.
